Varsta acestei stele este de 13 miliarde de ani, iar in curand va muri ca o nebuloasa planetara.

Vazut de pe Epsilon Indi, Soarele pare o stea de magnitudinea a doua in Ursa Major, aproape de bolul Carului Mare. Din anul 2003, trei pitiuce maro au fost descoperite orbitand in jurul ei.

Epsilon Indi este o stea pitica de tip spectral K. Aceasta stea are o masa cam cat o treime din masa Soarelui.
